This Brian Dozier walk-off homer culminated a seven-run ninth-inning comeback. Justin Verlander had a two-hit shutout going into the eighth.

To meet the need of warning attendees of outdoor events, such as fairs or concerts, I developed this system a number of years ago that is still be utilized. The Levitt at the Falls in Sioux Falls is one such venue that uses it. I wish more would! Feel free to contact me.

I believe it’s deeper than this. Every single storm now is labeled OMG crazy with big arrows and spooky wording for social algo stroking. Most don’t comprehend how the human mind changes over time. I posted that funny meme the other day about calling every tornado TOTY which means none of them are for a reason. We’ve all known complacency is a thing, but so is desensitization. If every storm is the storm of the century and people keep living through them, now you’ve added another spice to the complacency formula. But in today’s age, everything every day must be the most absolute craziest wow thing ever for max reach. As usual, society as a whole is responsible for these events, not your opposing political party.

I’ve been involved with weather for 40 years and I think the public’s response to warnings is worse than it ever has been. Many reasons for it, such as access to conflicting weather info or the idea that it never happens. What would it take for you take shelter before the storm?

@alcoholabus3 The National Weather Service does not have one regrettably, so I would say your favorite TV weather station that you trust. The information just needs to come from a credible source, not from ones pretending to be a Meteorologist and there are many who do that!

Again, I ask the question. If a Tornado Warning is issued for your location as your town is listed in the path of the storm. What do you?

@AdamLucioWX But who’s responsible for doing that and does it truly matter? Warnings are good but ultimately it’s up to the individuals themselves to act after hearing the message or seeing the threat

@HEPhillips70502 @AdamLucioWX What good did that do? The tornado already form and could’ve hit something. Warnings should be issued before it forms so people can take action correct?

@AdamLucioWX I'm old to remember when a tornado warning meant someone, usually a state trooper where i lived, radioed in a sighting. Now warning fatigue is real.

Developing and strengthening circulation was the reason behind Tornadoes Warning issuance! If you’re in the warning, keep your eyes to the sky and move to shelter if threatening weather approaches!

@ToddHeitkamp @ReedTimmerUSA Does the NWS accept any volunteer help? Even things like answering phones/taking storm reports? I know you're understaffed and I am an Atmospheric Science graduate that would like to help if possible.
