The "screenshot" rule is the most important rule you need to know in crypto Simply, if you take a screenshot of your unrealized profit... You MUST SELL! It's actually insane how accurate this is And had I followed this rule in 2021/2022 I'd be alot closer to finishing my 0 to 1million challenge The deeper psychology of it is actually even more interesting imo The very reason we have "cycles" is not because every 4 years btc magically doesnt have enough coins for all of us... It's because - when we are scared we don't want to BUY - when we are greedy we don't want to SELL Fear times cause prices to capitulate and continue to bottom. Greed times cause a lack of sell pressure and FOMO drives up the price. This is why the "screenshot rule" works so well Usually the best time to SELL is when it feels hardest to... When things are going well it's the time we LEAST want to part with our precious investment! This is because things are FINALLY playing out how we predicted when we initially bought said "token" Dopamine is a hell of a drug ;) What's fascinating is when you're down bad (and i mean peak bottom of jpeg mania bad) This is when you find it easiest to sell No more hoping "ill just wait for a pump" Or thinking "I'll just hold a little longer.. things will bounce back" No. This period is when its so damn easy to dump your worthless investment... it feels like a weight off your shoulders as soon as you hit SELL Well THIS... this is the exact example of when we should be buying NOT SELLING But 99% dont. In fact we all do the exact opposite. Hence why the 10 year bitcoin chart looks the way it does! The screenshot rule. It's not perfect. But damn does it accurately predict the flaws of the human psyche.
