👉We support @barnardos call for a National Care Offer: A legal obligation for the Secretary of State to set minimum standards of support for care leavers - so entitlements don’t depend on postcode.

🔉We welcome the government’s announcement: Care leavers will receive free prescriptions, NHS dental care, eye checks up to age 25. ‼️But delivery matters: cuts, staff shortages, poor signposting limit, impact. Awareness and practical access are essential for real change.‼️

We’re calling for a clear, timebound plan to phase-out unregistered homes for children in care, and for a guarantee that every child in care receives regulated care up to at least age 18.

The Government is planning to grant Ofsted new powers to fine providers operating unregistered children's homes under the Children's Wellbeing and Schools Bill. But this is NOT enough.
