@shoegal2022 7. But instead, the system we have treats those votes as worth the same going forward as all Faruqi's other votes whatever their previous value. This gives them a far bigger weighting in what is passed on to other candidates than they were previously worth.

Not the causal factor but Labor was disadvantaged in NSW vs One Nation by Inclusive Gregory surplus distortion. Votes coming from the Coalition to Faruqi at values of c. 0.02 were given the same value going forwards as full value votes.
