@GarageGuyChase NASCAR gave a waver to a guy who they suspended for crashing another car. They gave a waver to the same guy for a skiing accident. At that point, they pretty much sent the message that the waiver is akin to a sick note from your mother for missing school. This is a no brainer.

We’re talking about a NASCAR points leader who is already locked into the playoffs, skipping “one” of the biggest races of the year in exchange for “The” biggest race of the year.
A race he prepared over two years for and made his first attempt at Vs a race he’s dominated.

The high humidity kept NASCAR from drying the track at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

@Hickey93 I agree 100 percent. High speed ovals built Indy Car racing and now it is almost all left and right turns. If they knew how to promote properly, Michigan, Homestead or even Pocono would help mix up the schedule much better and create some excitement between yawners.

Respectfully disagree. I think #NASCARPlayoffs Waivers should be a thing for family emergencies/birth of a child/death in the family, or driver injuries/illness.

Hot take: Playoff waivers shouldn't even be a thing. You win a race to lock in your Playoff spot. When you miss races, all you're doing is hindering your chance to score more Playoff points with the regular season championship. #NASCAR

Tough decision for Larson.
I think NASCAR should offer the waiver here. The potential value he’s providing by showcasing the sport on the Indy stage is greater than what he’d provide just running Charlotte IMO.
