Thank you @MonkEmma for putting out this important clarification. I’ve had a lot of people trying to lump me in with the news outlets who were completely misreporting this, and all I truly intended was to post a video of what I felt I saw in the room. I didn’t expect any of this!

@TomCross_ @ok_jnr Thanks Tom - just wanted to be clear for avoidance of doubt that there is no malice intended here on anyone’s part. The joy of Eurovision includes audiences in the arena being able to enjoy the non TX elements of the show. The entire UK & BBC team love and respect Sam very much

Some facts on this may be useful - this was a rehearsal, following the flag parade, with no scores given at this point - and the ones that did happen later that evening were merely a tech run for the real thing. But why let the truth get in the way of a good story 🤷🏻‍♂️

Shameful that our act at Eurovision was abandoned by the BBC and his team as the scores came in! And how lovely of the Denmark team to invite him to sit with them, so he wasn’t alone. Well done BBC, you chose him and then you abandoned him. Vile.

@chris_maccc @ok_jnr Agreed about this not being anywhere near scoring, but just making sure people know the video I posted isn’t at any point attempting to mislead. It was uploaded in the moment, clearly states when and where, and is just merely making a comment on what we saw during the jury show

@TomCross_ @ok_jnr The scoring sequence - as implied in the original post here - is just a tech run. Actual Jury scores are not given at this point, they are given 24 hours later during the live broadcast. Thus the claim of ‘as the scores came in’ is inaccurate.

@ok_jnr I don’t see the misinformation? I didn’t say anything that wasn’t untrue, you’re seeing news outlets getting the context wrong. It was an observation from inside the arena. He was alone long enough for people to notice, and enough for Denmark to hand him a flag and include him
