Statement on activity today.

Just spoke with the mother-in-law of the man who is detained. She owns the house and says there’s an ongoing search warrant and they took all of their electronic devices. She insists her son-in-law is not involved.

We’ve confirmed the traffic stop took place in Rio Rico. For those not from here, that’s about about 60 miles south of Tucson and 12 miles north of the Mexico border.

Annie Guthrie's husband, Tommaso Cioni is a teacher at BASIS Oro Valley. Cioni was reported to be that last person with Nancy before she disappeared This BASIS pencil was found outside Nancy's home. Doesn't look like the pencil was on the ground for a long time... @whatsuptucson

Someone has been detained for questioning in connection with the Nancy Guthrie incident

BREAKING: TMZ’s Harvey Levin says within the last 15 minutes, they’ve seen activity in the bitcoin account that was mentioned in the original alleged ransom note for Nancy Guthrie that TMZ received.

BREAKING NEWS: Two SWAT armored vehicles have just departed the Pima County Sheriff’s parking lot, though it is unclear if the movement is related to investigation surrounding Nancy Guthrie. Fox News observed deputies loading shields and other tactical gear before leaving.

EDIT: According to OP, someone “brought” it to them. So it’s not confirmed whether it was found at Nancy’s home or someone had it and gave it to @JLRINVESTIGATES I would think the latter because LE would’ve grabbed it for evidence early on

@BrianEntin Someone related to a landscaper, cleaning crew, delivery person etc. Also doesn't seem to have planned well or he would have blocked the camera immediately before being seen.

The more law enforcement I talk to - the more telling me the person doesn’t look overly sophisticated or professional. The way the gun is holstered and not immediately ripping off the camera. Cartel, for example, would have been more efficient they say.

@TomForbes_ @whatsuptucson My first question though… who says it was found on the ground outside the house? The post you shared doesn’t say that. That statement alone can cause people to jump to conclusions, which could be inaccurate.

@rickvaz @whatsuptucson Ricky, you might be right, but that's why they're called potential clues. I live right down the street and have never found a BASIS pen/pencil on/near my property even though several of my neighbors have sent their kids to BASIS over the years. Just found it interesting.

@TomForbes_ @whatsuptucson Who said it was found on the ground? Also, why would it be unusual for that to be there? My in-laws have pens with the logo of the company I work for on it.

New images in the search for Nancy Guthrie:   Over the last eight days, the FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department have been working closely with our private sector partners to continue to recover any images or video footage from Nancy Guthrie’s home that may have been lost, corrupted, or inaccessible due to a variety of factors - including the removal of recording devices. The video was recovered from residual data located in backend systems.   Working with our partners - as of this morning, law enforcement has uncovered these previously inaccessible new images showing an armed individual appearing to have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie's front door the morning of her disappearance.   Anyone with information, please contact 1-800-CALL-FBI or visit tips.fbi.gov

If not the family, could it be possibly be an employee? (caregiver, pool guy, cleaning people, landscapers - or someone related to them?) Did the Guthrie's vet any of the companies or people who had direct contact with Nancy who were in the home/on property?
