🗣️Old Trafford: Stolen in Plain Sight Supporters asked to engage with a process that offered limited transparency and no meaningful opportunity to scrutinise key assumptions, financial models, or long term impacts. Engagement through pre selected forums without genuine challenge risked exactly what it became, a rubber stamping exercise rather than an open consultation. The club in full PR mode wheeling out all the bollocks when we all know this is nothing more than sacrificing our home at the altar of greed. Old Trafford is all we have left our history, our home, our identity and now even that is being chipped away, piece by piece. The Americanisation of the game, the dilution of fan culture, the pricing out of generational supporters. It’s not just change, it’s loss. The 1958 🇾🇪

So much for the ‘fan consultation process’. A poxy questionnaire and some half-baked discussions with ‘key groups’. We keep seeing the words ‘atmosphere’ being banded around but there has been next to nothing in the way of meaningful conversation around how this would need to be approached. Whole process is a charade for making a tiny number of people exceedingly rich, at the expense of a fanbase that would rather stay at Old Trafford. 🗑️

Multiple fan reps recall that we were told it’s a ‘5 year project finishing in 2030’, not 5 years post acquisition and planning. This is a lie. The stadium project is on its arse, and they’re doing everything they can to try and get it back on track. Say no to a new stadium.

Heartbreaking stuff. Manchester United executives show no respect for the emotional bond supporters have to the club. Old Trafford already has more than enough hospitality seats, but the Glazers and INEOS keep pushing for more. Always profit over fans — that’s the reality.

🚨 NEW: Jim Ratcliffe withdrew United's annual £40K donation to the Association of Former Manchester United Players (AFMUP) as part of Ineos' cost-cutting measures. The AFMUP, founded in 1985, used this funding to stage dinners and golf days that raised over £2M for former players, families, & charities. The withdrawal has jeopardised the association's future, forcing the cancellation of two events last year due to venue & catering costs. John Aston, 78, a key player in the 1968 European Cup win, recently suffered a stroke & remains in hospital. Former players raised £5K for a wheelchair, matched by the club, but the AFMUP lacks funds for further help. His wife reports the family is ineligible for government aid and must cover nurse visits at £80 each, 4 times daily, to bring him home. She is uncertain how they will manage these expenses.
