@maxbphotography @FirstEssex Thanks for your input; I don’t have a problem with the coachwork being old, but I do have issues with old-skool engines that repeatedly break down leaving passengers stranded. Also, our particular service is renowned for leaving oil patches all over our brand-new development.

@TomJohnButler @FirstEssex Buses normally stay in service until around 16-18 years old. It sometimes is longer if they have had emissions upgrades as there is nothing to stop then upgrading engines but keeping the old bus body. It is also a lot cheaper to retrofit engines then buy new buses.

Dear @FirstEssex - when will you be rolling out new buses for Chelmsford’s 51 service that serves the Channels development? Yet again, one of our vital morning services has been cancelled due to a broken down bus, no doubt because your ageing fleet is no longer maintainable.

@HagaiFeiner @TomJohnButler The IR-over-HDMI dongle has an IR RX bud for placement on the TV and an IR blaster on the IR-over-HDMI TX. All IR sent to the TV can be blasted at multiple sources in the cupboard.

@FirstEssex Maybe he was, maybe he wasn’t. I’m surprised he didn’t spark up a ciggy whilst he was at it, as is often the excuse on our particular service. Your drivers habitually use our route’s beginning and end for a fag and/or chin wag; it’s infuriating. That’s if they turn up at all...!

Don’t you just love it when the @FirstEssex bus driver’s phone call is more urgent than the timetable to which he’s paid to keep... Come on guys, please start to at least act like you could maybe, possibly, perhaps one day, at a push, give a shit!

Ugh. I don’t like the word “customer”. I want all of the people and companies I serve to be my clients. And I’d rather be someone’s client (and not merely a customer). Slowly progressing, a shift is coming. Make them your clients!
