Stupidly? Selfishly. Nefariously. Corruptly. Immorally. A white boy who plays GAA steals €84,000 from tax payers and he gets a suspended sentence and a narrative of “oh he was saving for a house”. The law in Ireland only really applies if you’re undesirable to the FFG elites.
RTÉ News@rtenews

A Sligo inter-county Gaelic footballer and former Irish International basketball player has received a five-year suspended sentence for "stupidly" defrauding the HSE of over €84,000 while he was saving for a house deposit rte.ie/news/regional/…

@TomMurp22 @CareyBrian women can avoid the responsibility of parenthood, on their terms.. but a man can be forced to have the financial responsibility of parenthood, also on the woman’s terms.. sounds fair..

@CareyBrian when it comes to abortion, men are told to sit down and shut up because the decision belongs to the woman, and the woman alone… a man’s consumer right’s are therefore irrelevant in this case

Saw an agri contracting guy there posting on FB about halting that side of his operations. V sad until he quotes Trump in his sign-off. Actually name-checks Trump. These people are crazy. Like as much as I have no time for Martin or Harris, root cause is naked imperialism.

One thing I've not heard anyone answer is, beyond the €250mn reduction in fuel taxes already in effect (costing the exchequer €4mn a day) where the shortfall should be made up from if we are to cut taxes substantially further? Spending on schools, hospitals, road maintenance?

Farming and haulage groups have been told this afternoon the Government does have a package of supports ready, but it will not be announced until the blockade is lifted.

@Gill_Murphy So you don’t think that preventing people from medical appointments is more than an inconvenience. Says everything

Sending in the army to a peaceful protest will backfire. Or are they looking to escalate things on purpose in order to paint the protestors in a bad light now that they are gaining more and more support from the public? 🤔 #fuelprotest

When I started attending the pain clinic about 5 years ago it was €140 for an appointment. Have a read to the end of this txt to see what Ireland has become. I will have to cancel this now as I simply can’t afford it, despite the fact I need my stimulator reprogrammed.

In 2024 the Irish state spent about €5 billion on overseas aid, housing refugees and aiding Ukraine. It’s a lot of money, but not huge out of a then national budget of €110 billion.
