@MartinMurray_Ag @Tedthekelpie @InnovationFarm7 do not underestimate their effectiveness Martin. 2L of paraquat is dynamite on most weeds, and the odd spot on the crop row does little damage. of more concern is the APVMA's axe on application rates, even though no chemical goes on the growing crop !

Has anyone got some tall wheat grass seed in WA 🌱 for sale.

@BrentonLeske @J_P_Collins We’ve sown it at a few different times Brenton, can’t really go wrong if you sow it anytime between March and early September 🤷🏻‍♂️ depending on the area I guess

@TomPatto7 @J_P_Collins When did you sow it? Curious, as it might be useful on my parents farm particularly stabilizing soil either side of drains

Had a visit from @j_p_collins Looking at wheatgrass on saline land 🌾 Looks to be working really well reclaiming unproductive areas and growing out of season feed

@SamuelJHigham @J_P_Collins Yep this is a seed crop Sam 👌 still a month from ripening, we love blowing the header down that much that we do it twice a year haha

@TomPatto7 @J_P_Collins Where do you source the seed when starting out Tom? Assume you harvest your own seed nowadays?

@MTrebley We normally aim to keep our pH above 5 but now we are aiming to keep our soils above 5.5, so that means we will need another approx 1500t

@TomPatto7 Just out of interest.. what tons are you aiming for this season?

Now that harvest and holidays are out of the way we start spreading lime. if all goes to plan we aim to put double the Lime on that we usually do💪 Garry is doing the first blow with the new spreader, the curtain wings are working a treat by the looks
