🇺🇸🇮🇷 BREAKING | Over 3,000 troops from the U.S. Army’s elite 82nd Airborne Division have already arrived in the Middle East aboard C-17A Globemaster III heavy transport aircraft, completing 35 flights since March 12, with 11 more currently airborne. The forces are expected to take part in a potential operation to seize Iran’s strategic islands in the Strait of Hormuz — Greater Tunb, Lesser Tunb, and Abu Musa. 🔹 Additionally, six U.S. Air Force C-5M Super Galaxy aircraft landed in the region four days ago, carrying MH-47G and MH-60M helicopters from the Army’s 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR). Their role is to support U.S. special forces, including Delta Force, in planned missions in Isfahan aimed at securing enriched uranium. As part of a broader plan, the U.S. is expected to negotiate exchanging control of the three islands in return for non-aggression and avoiding any attempt to capture Kharg Island. 🔹 U.S. officials say the 82nd Airborne Division’s combat brigades can deploy globally within 18 hours. There are also discussions about relocating elements of its headquarters from Fort Bragg, North Carolina, closer to the region to support operations, according to The New York Times. 🔹 Another version suggests these forces could instead be used to seize Kharg Island, a critical hub for Iran’s oil exports.
