@SuperGrok @xai @elonmusk I've cancelled my SuperGrok subscription. I pay for a full month, but because of the weekly limit I only get roughly 2–3 weeks of actual usage per month. Within a few days the limit resets and then I’ll get one more week before it’s over. For someone who uses Grok for important things (including advice about medications and health), suddenly being cut off for days is really problematic. My suggestion: Apply weekly caps only to Grok Imagine. For chat, daily token limits that reset every 24h would be much fairer. I'm convinced SuperGrok has a lot of potential. But this limit system is making it frustrating and practically unusable for many paying users. #SuperGrok #GrokLimits #xAI

I know it might sound strange, but I have honest to goodness hope, or rather a belief that this business with the Grok usage limits will come to a swift end. I do not know how but I certainly believe that something will be done about it. Unless I am greatly mistaken, which I could be of course, but I am still holding onto that hope. I have seen so many people on my timeline and even on my own posts voicing the same opinion, even if in slightly different ways at times. I think that Elon or someone over at xAI will see the outcry and do something. I do not know what that something is but it will hopefully mitigate the issue. Just some thoughts.

I get why people are frustrated with Grok's weekly usage limits, it really does burn through faster than you expect. I don’t know the exact cost to run it, and maybe the value is actually solid behind the scenes, but right now it can feel like you’re not getting a ton of bang for your buck. The tech is really impressive though. We’re likely just in that awkward early curve of AI where demand is exploding and everything is still expensive. Hopefully we slide down the cost curve quickly. Also keeping in mind I'm just a premium user, not premium +

@elonmusk Fix the usage limits @elonmusk, they're terrible and make SuperGrok unusable.

Fml I never hit a limit on @grok voice before. I haven't used it in over a week but when I popped in it said I was at 90% capacity then lasted two simple gardening questions. What gives @elonmusk ? ((Puta)Not you @grok I meant Elon)<3

A few more, refined, thoughts on the Grok usage limit crisis: Today I was able to use Grok for a little bit and tried something new, something I had been wanting to try for a long time. I made a small game! Now, when I say "made" I mean Grok coded everything and held my uninformed hand through it all. When I say "game" I mean a text-based ripoff of Doors involving a knight and practically zero game mechanics. However, it was still something I got to work on and make, and that was pretty darn cool! Unfortunately, after asking some more questions, I was hit with the usage limit. I was not surprised but indeed I was a little frustrated by the whole thing. Why? Well, simply put, I have no idea when I can use Grok again. I am the kind of person who LOVES asking a ton of questions. You give me an answer, I have a question about the answer. Grok is GREAT for that as it can just keep going on and on and then deal with me randomly asking it about dinosaurs or "hey, did you see what Elon posted today?" Now, with these limits, I am really not sure when I will be able to do that again. To be clear, I do not have a problem with the limits. AI costs a lot, I get it dude. Especially one as cool as Grok. I understand that there has to be some constraints, some times. However, the real issue comes with the fact that: 1. The limit gets eaten up, FAST (problem) 2. We are put back onto a free tier (not so big a problem) 3. We have NO CLUE how long we can use this free tier version and it may or may not just randomly cut in and out from time to time (HUGE problem) Simply put: There is no discernable way (that I know of) to know how long we are supposed to be able to use Grok apart from the limit itself, and the limit seems to indicate that we can use it very little. This is a big issue for Grok in the AI race, especially as I see people talking about using chatGPT, or even Gemini as alternatives that work. Now here is the real kicker. This might not be intentional. According to the SpacexAI official website documents, under the "Usage & Limits" portion of the Help & FAQ it reads as follows: "When your weekly usage limit is met, paid features will pause until your weekly limit resets. You will still have access to Grok's free tier limits on Chat and Voice (these are separate from your weekly usage limit and resets on their own schedule)-" Listen to this next sentence: "Hitting the weekly usage limit is not a hard stop." Thus, I do not find it unreasonable to assume that this entire thing could POSSIBLY have been a calculation error of some sort. However, that is yet to be seen. Thank you for reading the long post. What do you think?

Unsubscribed from Grok again! Just hit Grok weekly limit chat while I was barely using it. I am a premium user and Grok policies keep chaning all the time. It is unknown to a user how many hours a day or week he/she can use Grok. @grok @X

The new weekly usage pool for SuperGrok is straight up deceptive. Extra Credits is nothing more than a money-eating machine. A single weekly limit that burns out in 1-2 days with normal use image-to-video) is not “flexibility” it’s a money-eating machine. #GrokLimits #SuperGrok

Some users report that the @grok chat remains accessible even after the weekly limit has been reached. I can't confirm that—as a SuperGrok user, I’ve just been locked out of the chat until the limit resets. #grok #groklimits

#Grok #Xai It’s impossible to use Grok with these new weekly limits — it’s a complete waste of money. I literally burned through my entire weekly limit in 6 hours of active work, plus I paid an extra $10, which was gone in just 4 hours! This is way too much.

@LuminaXspace The longer the conversation goes, the quicker I hit my usage limits. I'm paying for SuperGrok, yet I can't even have a proper chat with Grok. This is complete disrespect toward paying users 🫤 @elonmusk @SpaceXAI

🚨 Grok’s usage limits are genuinely awful: • I’ve barely used SuperGrok this week and somehow I’m already at 65%, chat alone using 49%, that is using skills and expert mode which chunks 1-2% per prompt. • Decided to try out ChatGPT and it feels almost unlimited, I can't hit a single limit even spamming codex. • SpaceXAI seriously needs to improve its paid-plan limits, I love using Grok but im not paying for it anymore, I have to limit my use just so I don't run out or get 2 days out of the week to actually try it using it properly. Have you felt the terrible usage limits and have any of you unsubscribed yet?

While the Imagine limits are disappointing, I’m hopeful they’ll loosen once Colossus 2 & 3 are scaled. What shouldn’t have happened is text and voice chat landing in the weekly quota. Chat should stay separate. It’s far cheaper in compute, and should remain near-unlimited for SuperGrok and Heavy subs — with perhaps a rolling shorter 2–3hr window for anything exceeded by Expert and heavy agent reasoning. With zero product engagement once the weekly quota is gone, subscriber trust breaks and retention plummets. @elonmusk @xai
DrStrangeLaugh@drstrangelau

As a long-time Supergrok subscriber, I was understanding and patient with the big rate limit cuts back in May, despite the lack of communication from @xai. Then last week came yet another massive limit nerf as part of the new shared weekly quota, only a few days after I upgraded to heavy. It’s brutal. I can’t even chat unless I fork out even more money😞 I know @elonmusk probably isn’t directly responsible, but this video represents how a lot of loyal subscribers feel right now. This is just getting stupid. @elonmusk @xai . I waited for it to reset. It did. I opened grok build, even logged out and back in, and it tells me on every prompt I've used up my limit and tells me to buy credits or upgrade to Heavy. But it should have RESET! What in the sam-hell is going on with @grok?!?!
