@leighjones0212 @izzywestbury Mate why do you have two surnames?
English

@izzywestbury Maybe it’s because they realised you are a shit cricket test team and have been for 30 years and your bowling attack is poor and your openers are the worst opening pair to have ever opened for you unwashed lot
English

appropriate time to bring this one out
#NFFC

Nottingham Forest@NFFC
MORGAN GIBBS-WHITE!!!!!! 😍
English

@AnalyticsForest Exactly! Clubs must follow their vision regardless of outside noise. Bournemouth proved it works!
English

The same people who think we're crazy to sack Dyche thought Bournemouth were crazy to replace Gary O'Neil with Iraola.
Wouldn't let it bother you.
#NFFC
English

@AnalyticsForest Are we still crazy? It’s a cold, hard fact that we’ve got worse since he left. In fact, we’re on the worst run in the division. #nffc
English

@B3ckrs @DaysUntilForest For sure but that’s not the benchmark. It’s like anything in life, capability is a spectrum. I’d be rubbish. Marinakis is probably rubbish, he just has loads of money. Some owners are very capable.
English

@TomSwarbs @DaysUntilForest Imagine the shit we would do if we bought the club?😂😂😂
English

From 3rd to 18th in less than 11 months.
Only one person is to blame for this collapse.
#nffc

English

@B3ckrs @DaysUntilForest If only there was something he could have done about it …
English

@DaysUntilForest There’s only one person that’s put a quarter of a Billion dollars into this club as well. Do you think Marinakis is not pissed? #NFFC
English

@TomSwarbs @booth_i @henrywinter You were the one who drew an analogy with salary. It is nothing like that because it cannot be relied upon beyond the length of the most recent contract - just like if you get a bonus one year there's no guarantee that there'll be one of the same size (or at all) the next.
English

@AndrewVernon4 @booth_i @henrywinter Absolute rubbish. There’s no obligation on my employer to pay me beyond next month. But there will be TV money for decades to come. The Prem is wildly popular across the world. Plus what’s the alternative? Clubs put it in an ISA because it may not be here forever? Come on…
English

@TomSwarbs @booth_i @henrywinter It's not really. It's more like a bonus than a salary. TV money is based on fixed but separate contracts. There's no obligation on tv companies to pay anything once a contract finishes. If football goes out of fashion & it will at some point, those contracts will drop in value
English

@booth_i @henrywinter I’m not sure about that. It’s like saying ‘you’re too reliant on your salary’. Well, yeah.
English

@henrywinter Well maybe club's are too reliant on the tv money, and paying mad wages to players, eventually greed always comes back and bites back, but football lives in its own little world, and people like you and other journalists plus sky are the problem
English

@MichaelVaughan You have a fabulous cricket brain and great cricketing skill but, in real life, you’re a massive thicko.
English

So England got knocked out on Thurs get a charter home today .. West Indies go out last Sunday and are still in Kolkata .. SA in the same position .. That’s where the power is all wrong .. All teams in this situation should be treated the same .. just because you are more powerful at the ICC table shouldn’t count .. #JustSaying
English

@NFFC Anyone still think sacking Dyche would solve the problem? The owner, Edu, loads of the players, loads of the fans: clowns 🤡
English

@bigvaldrewski @mralistairgreen Mate, you’re a moron. He’s a comedian, it’s a joke.
English

@mralistairgreen No you didn't The polls don't close until 10:00
Count will only begin sometime after this
Postal votes will have already been validated but not counted
Idiot
English

@henrywinter As @matthewsyed said in his excellent column, the circumstantial evidence is impressive.
English

Uefa has to investigate exactly what was said to Vinicius Jr during Real Madrid’s game with Benfica. And why Gianluca Prestianni felt the need to cover his mouth. It’s a disputed “he said, they misheard” situation and Uefa has to listen to both sides. But three things are very clear...
1. The anger of Vinicius and his Real team-mates. Trent Alexander-Arnold told Amazon Prime that what happened was “a disgrace to football”.
2. It’s irrelevant that Benfica found Vinicius’ goal celebration “disrespectful”. He’s allowed to dance by the corner-flag. Some of the most iconic goal celebrations have come that way. It was a great goal and an important one. The ref deemed the celebration over the top, and controversially booked him, but nothing justifies the alleged response that Vinicius claims was then directed at him.
3. Uefa’s record on clamping down on racism is not the strongest. A fine here, a short ban or a game behind closed doors there. If it is proved that Prestianni directed a racist comment at Vinicius - an allegation he denies - the punishment has to be a lengthy ban and a re-education course. Only by applying appropriate sanctions, meaningful sanctions for a societal curse manifesting itself in football, can Uefa show it is serious about its “No To Racism” message. #kickitout
English

@rematt75 @patmurphybbc @NFFC Well know but what’s the point? Greek football should not be the paradigm for us.
English

A word on Marinakis. He’ll expect Pereira to be his nodding dog, having employed him in Greece. And it might be a good idea if Marinakis stopped behaving like a starstruck fan at the final whistle, high-fiving the @NFFC players outside the dressing-room. Looks pathetic.
English

@AnalyticsForest And the same people who thought we were crazy to replace Nuno with Ange. Sometimes the people are right. There’s absolutely no way Pereira will reach the levels of Coops, Nuno or Iraola. But fair play for your optimism. It’s all we have right now.
