Communities across Wisconsin have approved 881 school district referenda since 2014, an average of over two per district. Our school funding formula is broken, and if we don’t fix it our kids’ futures are at risk.

Public education advocates gathered at the Capitol today in support of our kids. The 2023-25 state budget left our local schools behind. 91 districts had to go to referendum this spring to make up the difference. This cannot continue - we must fund our kids’ futures!

A study showed that teachers who acknowledged their students at the door as they entered class saw a 20% increase in academic engagement and a 9% decrease in disruptive behavior. If you want to lead people, you must connect with them first. Relationship > Transaction

WI teachers have never been paid what they deserve, but since 2009, their salaries have fallen 12% vs. inflation. If we want to attract and retain quality educators, we need to pay them like the highly-trained pros they are. My “Teaching is a Profession” package does that.
