This is an important step in funding and a new way doing business, with much work ahead to ensure sufficient and principled assistance to those in need.

InterAction applauds the hard work of the U.S. Administration, the Security Council, multilateral partners, and others to achieve this result. Now we need to urgently scale humanitarian assistance and ensure full access to populations in need before winter sets in.

Yesterday's U.N. Security Council approval of the U.S.-brokered Gaza peace plan is a vital step forward in bringing peace, stability, and humanitarian support to the region.

We have many more tough than good days in this work. But yesterday, seeing so many trucks moving to Gaza, was a good one. This scale up is direct result of ceasefire agreement. There are many frustrations and complications. We still have mountain to climb. But I’m more hopeful.

This is a hopeful moment, with a lot of hard work ahead. The humanitarian community stands ready to deliver. All administrative barriers to delivering life-saving assistance must be removed to ensure that unhindered aid can flow to those most in need immediately.

The announcement of a ceasefire agreement and hostage deal between Israel and Hamas brings hope that two years of unrelenting suffering, displacement, and destruction will finally come to an end. We applaud President Trump and regional leaders for securing this agreement.
