@1985Pete @Tom_Kural No serious party is going to be interested when they are being told what elements of the club need to be kept. It's like buying a house and being told you can't replace the kitchen or redecorate the bedrooms.

It appears the Beecroft family, who sold their Land Recovery business for £177m in 2024 and also own Enviro Skip, lent the club £1m last summer. With the early bird ST's this year, it doesn't paint a great picture financially. #CreweAlex

@StandingAlone77 It's catch-22. They also don't want to be the board that sold us down the river to an asset stripper either I guess.

@Tom_Kural Think they are going to have to face the harsh reality that they need to start dropping conditions on any possible sale. I admire them for their principles and trying to do best by the club, but if they are having to find temporary sources like this, things are fairly desperate.

This is the main point here for me and all #CreweAlex fans. The current board - including buy out of NH - have put in close to £6m. Huge money & money they may never see again.
I will be renewing my ST at the non-freeze rate after March. We all need to help how we can.

@StandingAlone77 Sorry - the car park is being used as security in case club can't repay the loan. I think they were trying to get him to put more money in but he has no interest in football. Suggests to me their pockets are only so deep and looking for other sources of cash to fund the losses.

@Tom_Kural What does this mean for those of us with limited understanding of finances Tom? Why would they lend the club such a large amount? Would the club seriously consider selling off assets to raise capital?

@clh19961996 @RailwaymenThe That makes absolute sense based on what I heard last year. The guy sold his Land Recovery business for £180m, but not really interested in football sadly...

@sargeantbennett @dstevens I think that is clutching as well! Our normal deadline for STs was 1st June, we wouldn't normally sign players until around then anyway once the season is finished.

Not only announcing in February but incentivising people to pay by the end of March.
Maybe it’s just a marketing/ promotional thing but it did set a couple of alarm
