A few days to go until the release of the Immeasurable Heaven, so I thought I’d share a creature a day from my non-human space opera, all sketched from my own feverish nightmares. Today we have Elazihing the Zabbas, a traveler aboard Gnumph the passenger spore. @Solarisbooks

Had a go illustrating an Idiran from Consider Phlebas a while back - these guys are quite tricky to imagine from their description in the book, although I did find a tiny sketch of one in Banks’ own drawings that’s very interesting (and not really much like this)

My old friend Caspar has been working on this bonkers novel for a very long time. As far as I know it's the first fully non-human trad published book since the Redwall series, and it's even weirder than my stuff -so if that sounds like your cup of tea then you're in for a treat.
