@rtodi Do you think artificial muscle-like actuators will make a meaningful impact on the space, or are motors the most efficient solution?

Actuators are the biggest cost driver (typically 40–60% of a humanoid robot’s bill of materials) and the main performance differentiator because they directly determine core physical capabilities. A typical full-sized humanoid has 20–40+ actuators (e.g., ~28 in the body plus 50+ in hands for models like Tesla Optimus Gen 3), each an integrated electromechanical unit (motor + gearbox + driver + sensors).
