Grok Imagine on the web just got added more controls over image and video generation • Generate videos with or without audio • Choose how many images to generate: 4, 8, 12, or Auto Small updates, but they make the creative workflow faster and much more flexible

Elon Musk's childhood neighbor in Pretoria once described what Elon was like as a boy. She said Elon would disappear for entire days. His mother would send someone to find him and he would be sitting in a corner of the house or the library completely motionless. Not sleeping. Not playing. Reading. For 8, 10, sometimes 12 hours straight. He would read the entire encyclopedia front to back. Then start again. She said the other children in the neighborhood thought something was wrong with him. He didn't play sports. He didn't socialize normally. He would start talking about rockets or computers and the other kids would walk away. He learned to stop talking about the things he cared about because the reaction was always the same. Silence or mockery. She described a specific afternoon where Elon was sitting outside reading and a group of boys threw his book into a puddle. He picked it up, dried it carefully with his shirt, and went back to reading without saying a word. He didn't cry. He didn't react. He just continued as if they didn't exist. She said looking back that moment tells you everything. A boy who cared more about the book than the humiliation. A boy who could absorb cruelty and return to the thing that mattered without breaking stride. The same pattern that would later allow him to absorb billions in losses, public ridicule, and personal betrayal without changing direction. The adults around him thought he was strange. The children around him thought he was weak. The boy reading in the corner thought about rockets. Thirty years later the rockets fly and the kids who threw his book work normal jobs and tell people they grew up near Elon Musk.

In our latest deepsec.sh benchmarks, Grok 4.5 has emerged as the best cybersecurity AI model on price-performance. It's 10x cheaper than Sol, 5.7x cheaper than Opus 5, and 2.2x cheaper than Kimi K3, yet at Kimi-like perf. Sol remains the frontier, ahead of Opus 5.
Vercel@vercel

DeepsecBench evaluates model accuracy, cost, and speed in finding cybersecurity vulnerabilities. Latest results: ▪️ GPT-5.6 Sol scores highest ▪️ Kimi K3 gets half the top score at 1/5 the cost ▪️ Grok 4.5 wins best score/cost ratio in top 10 vercel.com/blog/deepsecbe…

What CLI's are folks using for managing multiple agents in the same terminal? I'm happy with Claude agents but it's not for everyone. Also keen to try herdr. What else?

MICROSOFT JUST OPEN-SOURCED SELF-EVOLVING AGENT SKILLS. it's called skillopt. skills that improve themselves the same way you train an ai model. no more guessing whether your prompt tweaks helped. a base model runs the task, an optimizer evaluates the output and rewrites the instructions itself. → isolates successful paths from failures to find precise improvements → auto-rejects any edit that doesn't beat your benchmark score → beats hand-crafted prompts and optimizers like textgrad → zero model lock-in, the skill transfers to any model you switch to 100% free. open source.

To anyone expecting Opus-5 to make a massive leap over Fable: Sorry to break it to you, but we’ve been hitting a wall in AI progress for months now. There are no revolutionary breakthroughs. Everything from data curation and weight compression to compute efficiency has stalled out. We like to think we are accelerating, but looking at it objectively, the progress from Opus-4.5 to 4.8 is tiny—it’s mostly just harness improvements. In the end, every company chose to force-feed their weight sizes simply as a defensive move for their massive funding. Starting from Fable, to Sol, Grok, and literally all the Chinese AIs—they all just bloated their weights. This brought massive inefficiency to data center racks and only worsened the already scarce compute. And that is precisely what gave latecomers like Chinese labs and xAI the time to catch up. Due to this bottleneck, the first-mover advantage that frontier labs used to enjoy is rapidly shrinking. Now, the race has simply reset back to the same starting line: whoever brings the next real innovation wins.

Abro debate, quitando Fable, que ya sabemos el desastre. ¿Para backend con qué modelo se quedarían? ¿Y para front con cuál se quedarían? Estoy buscando alternativas para terminar mi relación tóxica con Claude.

Pretty good chance that Grok 4.6 could surpass Fable 5 at solving complex problems and handling real-world tasks Elon Musk recently said SpaceXAI is closing the loop on solving real-world engineering problems across Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink and The Boring Company The next Grok release is going to be a very big jump Additionally, SpaceXAI is developing its own C/C++ inference software from the ground up, mapped directly to GB300 hardware Elon said it could double output speed or potentially deliver an even greater improvement And remember, SpaceXAI has built one of the most highly optimized AI infrastructure on Earth That efficiency advantage could eventually reach users through faster responses, more generous usage limits and lower costs SpaceXAI is optimizing every layer of the AI stack for maximum intelligence, speed and efficiency: • Frontier models • Real-world engineering feedback • Highly optimized data centers • Custom training infrastructure • Ground-up inference software • Token and cost efficiency This could bring a huge jump in intelligence, real-world usefulness, agentic performance, speed and efficiency
