It should be pretty obvious at this point that AI is a "force multiplier" not a "labor substitute". It helps experts be better at things they are already good at. It doesn't let beginners match experts. If you can't write, anything you write with AI will be unmitigated slop. If you aren't a software engineer, anything you vibecode with AI will have security holes and won't be able to scale past a toy demo. If you blindly trust AI to deliver on a research task without knowing the subject matter, you won't be able to fact-check it. There's this weird misconception of AI as something that completely levels the playing field. I don't see it that way at all. There are mathematicians deriving novel lemmas with off-the-shelf models. Normal people can't do that. AI is a tool that makes experts better. It doesn't make everyone into an expert.

@J_dev363 @Shpigford @openclaw Yeah, I'm having a hard time figuring this out as well. My solution has been: - Main macbook is for chat / code - Mac mini is cowork only - Give it its own Gmail - Create shortcut to screen share in from macbook - Talk to it on the go via dispatch

@TommyGriffith @Shpigford @openclaw My Mac mini is always on, so the schedule tasks can run there always. The MacBook Pro is my main computer, but is also the computer that I take out of the house so if it doesn’t have access to the internet when a task needs to run or if it is turn off the task will not run.

@Shpigford @openclaw Then only thing that I’m not liking so far is that if I want to use cowork on the Mac mini that I have I can’t. They don’t sync between my MacBook and my Mac mini.

You know, we think about this literally 24/7 and I suspect that we’ll figure this out eventually For now, they offer slightly different flavors to users - chat for easy conversations, Cowork when you want to safely work on something, Code if you’re a developer and want to code with Claude

College is now when you spend $100,000 to write papers with AI so your professor can grade them with AI and then you get a piece of paper at the end that says you’re allowed to have a job and then they don’t call you back for interviews

In the age of Claude Code, a CMS is starting to make less sense as time goes on. After more than 12 years, we finally ditched WordPress for an AI-native site on ClickMinded. Here's how:
Eduardo Yi@eduardoyi

Our marketing site now works like this: open Claude or Codex, describe what you want, it's live in minutes. No plugin queue. No page builder loading bar. Hosting bill: basically $0. That was not true one week ago. We were on WordPress, same as you probably are.

@coreyganim Do you have a strong opinion on this setup vs global instructions? The problem is that right now dispatch doesn't work with individual projects, so you can only use global instructions with it. And dispatch is my favorite feature by far!

Claude Cowork just got the update that makes everything else click. here's the 10-minute setup: 1. open the Cowork tab → Projects → click "+" 2. create a dedicated folder on your computer for each client or workflow 3. drop in your context files (about-me, brand voice, examples of your best work) 4. write custom instructions (tone, rules, guardrails) 5. run this prompt: "read every file in the folder. summarize what you know about this workspace." that's it. Claude now remembers everything between sessions. no more re-explaining yourself every time you open a new chat. the key difference: old Projects were just chat with better memory. Cowork Projects actually create files, run code, and execute real tasks, and now they remember what they did last time. scheduled tasks, scoped memory, persistent folders. this is the closest thing to an AI employee that exists right now.

@PaulJLipsky Makes sense. When you say remoting in, do you mean SSH via terminal, or screen share? I've been doing screen share, but it's a bit too laggy to use consistently unfortunately.

@TommyGriffith I’m thinking of just using the one on my Mac mini and remoting into it when I need to use it. That way dispatch will work better. But I’m not sure yet.

@PaulJLipsky Your latest claude cowork video was great. I came to the same conclusion as you: this tool is ideal for a dedicated mac mini. Have you gotten around some of the small annoyances between having a macbook and a dedicated mac mini running cowork?

@PaulJLipsky Cool, I'm doing the same. Also gave it its own gmail account, so now cowork can email on my behalf, but its from a new account with no access to contacts. Still find it a bit annoying to run essentially two claude desktops with two repos, however. But dispatch is very powerful!

@TommyGriffith Generally I use the Mac Mini for automated tasks and the MacBook for other tasks. The mini has its own Apple ID and I share folders with it using iCloud.

Dispatch can now start coding tasks with specific models. Tell it to use a specific model in natural language. We want to keep making Dispatch the most useful place to delegate Cowork and Code tasks. How can we make Dispatch better for coding use-case?

@noahzweben Can dispatch work within a specific project? If I'm trying to use cowork and dispatch as a personal assistant, is it best to isolate everything about personal life into just one project?

@khemaridh This was great, thanks! Do projects eventually run out of context? I was thinking about making a single project called "assistant", and just running my whole life through that for an indefinite amount of time. Any downside to that?

#Claude #Cowork #Dispatch
