Red days aren’t bad days—they’re shopping days. Wealth is built during bear markets and revealed during bull markets. Avoid low-quality, high-risk stocks; they’re the first to be crushed in a downturn. Focus on the highest-quality businesses—they survive, recover, and compound. A strong portfolio can endure both bear and bull markets. A mere collection of stocks only survives bull markets. Build resilience, not randomness. You can’t time the market—it’s a cunning beast. If you refuse to sell when you’re in profit, it can punish you. If you do sell in profit, it can still make you feel wrong. That’s the cost of playing the game.
