@PatriotGirlJo @JeremySCook @TheJoeySwoll I totally agree! I walk 35 minutes every morning, covering about 2 miles, & have lost 15 lbs as a result. Yes I know I need to add strength training, but I’m not crazy about it & can’t seem to stick with it for long. Go figure.

I know a lot of gym rats and the new fad is no cardio. They think weights are just as healthy. I get this lecture from my daughter and many others because I briskly hike two miles a day. Trust me, they are dumb asses. Your heart is a muscle. You need weights and some cardio to keep your entire body healthy.

@DerivativesKid @TheJoeySwoll The best exercise is the one people will actually DO! I am a retired female with a BS in Kinesiology so I’m aware of your talking points. Doesn’t change the fact that I’m not crazy about strength training & would much rather do cardio. Anything is better than nothing.

@TheJoeySwoll His point outweighs your point though. If the woman realised weight lifting is significantly superior for overall health and heart health also, maybe she'd do it. 2 to 3 decades ago most people didn't even know what protein was. Education is essential.
