@1FCKobe @HistoryLOI Bringing in GAA goalkeepers for short term cover. You wouldn't see that these days. Oh wait. Check Caufield's notebook from that night. 😀

@TonyCrone @HistoryLOI John Kerins was on the bench for a few of those games too

@1FCKobe @HistoryLOI Mad when you think of the quality of players on show. Also the fact that evening Biscuits was a no show and yer man O'Neill from Boh's travelled down and went in goal instead.
English

@TonyCrone @HistoryLOI It was also Linekers first goal for Spurs I believe. His first game was Bohs a few days earlier

@museumofjerseys @HistoryLOI Yes Spurs in 1989 and Man Utd in 1990 as FA Cup winners (as part of the Brian Carey Transfer) Celtic in 1991(Packie Bonnar couldn't get off the field at half time due to kids surrounding him) Leeds 1991 (title winning year) Man City 91 with Quinn and player manager Peter Reid.
English

@HistoryLOI @TonyCrone 1990 and 1991, maybe 1989 as well. Everton came just after Italia 90 and Kevin Sheedy was mobbed

Could’ve gone either way in Cobh. Both teams had their moments. A good Cork sporting occasion. #ccfc84

Yes it’s a win but it was a poor performance from City. Thankfully the standard in this division is low. Last year we would’ve suffered a heavy defeat playing like that. The only real bright spark was Cillian Murphy who brought some much needed energy and excitement. #CCFC84

@thesundaygame Should the “third man in” rule have been implemented by Liam Gordon as its purpose was to reduce melee’s like we saw. It was 2 players wrestling on the ground which would have been dealt with by 2 yellows. Instead Andrew Ormond comes in and turns it into a melee.
