Jazzy Davidson’s freshman campaign has come to a close. She joins JuJu Watkins, Sarah Strong, Maya Moore, Cheryl Miller, and Candace Parker as the only freshmen in women’s college basketball history to record 500+ points, 150+ rebounds, 100+ assists, 50+ steals, and 50+ blocks. 🥹✌️🪄

@sarahAtweets2 @BranitezSports Yeah, it must be horrible over there at SFGate. I covered up north of 70 A's games last season. Only series I missed was the NY Mets because of the Sacramento Kings. So this Jack @ss has no idea of what the A's coverage was like. I'll be out there again this season.

We need some context and correction on this article regarding Sacramento local tv media. Our station (CBS) sent Jake Gadon there, and we get help thanks to our partners at KPIX (Matt Lively killed it out there). KCRA3 sent my guy Sean Cunningham to cover both teams which is what every station does on the day to day because there’s fans of both teams in Sacramento. Fox 40 DID send someone, Vanessa Romo who covered the A’s for two days, Giants for one. ABC10 was a one man department for the last 2-3 months and Kevin John held it DOWN with other local events like CIF state HS basketball playoffs which featured three teams from our area. If you had actually talked to anyone in the Sac media, I bet the majority of us would tell you we’re even higher on the A’s this year more than last year.

Things are looking even more bleak for the second A's season in Sacramento sfgate.com/athletics/arti…

Defenders of the Fourth Estate Connie Chung and Roger Mudd (not Rodger Miller) appeared together on NBC in 1986 as the co-anchors of a primetime newsmagazine program simply titled "1986." The program aired on Tuesday nights from June 10, 1986, to Dec 30, 1986. #Journalism

Larry Bird also played college baseball. For one game. As a dare. To a packed crowd. Indiana State baseball coach Bob Warn kidded Bird about how real men play baseball. Bird told him "I could do that." A couple weeks after losing the NCAA championship to Magic Johnson, Bird took the field at 1st base in the second game of a doubleheader against Kentucky Wesleyan. Bird surprised everyone by going 1-for-2 and knocking in 2 RBIs. He also had 9 putouts at first. He signed with the Boston Celtics two months later. #BaseballTwitter #LarryBird #Celtics #IndianaState #NBA #MarchMadness
