@crawlings13 @TonyReali was the the most egregious for this. Looks they used eye-black to make his cross stand out.

What makes this even more bizarre is that anyone who has been Catholic for more than a minute knows that the cross, if it was ever that, turns to an amorphous gray smudge in like ten minutes. These perfectly preserved TV Guy crosses feel *extremely* showy. Like come on.

This is the first Ash Wednesday since Around the Horn aired its final show. Feeling a little nostalgic for @TonyReali and his faithful ashes on air each year. A small but steady witness of faith in sports media 🙏

I love a good squash! Somewhere in a Google document I have a show idea / miniseries called SQUASH. I’d have two bickering parties come on, air grievances, and Judge Tony would have them quash/squash the disagreement. We’d relive a juicy beef, and then I’d get to go full Judge Judy mode, call them “pally,” bring them together, make amends, and it would be fun. Was just telling the kids about this story I have not been pooped on since by any member of the bird kingdom!!!

@CockDoc I called and checked a week later and it had gotten past the danger zone of recovery to stable. That’s the last I heard. But in my head, it made a full recovery and is now working the Medieval Times in Lyndhurst, New Jersey.!
