The two child benefit cap is perfectly reasonable. It stops certain people from using children as cash cows and is fair. If you cannot reasonably raise children with out support from the state - then you shouldn't be having kids. Tax payers shouldn't foot the bill

@JujuliaGrace Charging patients would stop all the A&E and doctors visits from people who don't actually require a doctor. I can't see how this is a bad thing for the overall efficiency of the NHS.

@owen_whiteley @johnredwood I agree with you comments on pollution and the need for on-street charging. The situation isn’t quite as bad as you say though - most car drivers do have off street parking at home.

The failure of British Volt to win investment and orders for a new battery factory shows there is still a long way to go to an all electric UK car industry. The government should drop its plan for an early ban on making and selling new diesel and petrol cars here.

@FamilyByCycle 2/2 bus station is across road from rail station. I’m assuming you’re heading to Chesterfield Road - X17 will do that and maybe other buses

Today I was going to take Bob (3) to the model shop in Sheffield. The shop’s next to the railway line in Sheffield, but a mile from the station. I can’t fit my ‘dutch’ bike (with child seat) on the train. The shop’s website only tells people about how much free parking is nearby.

@FamilyByCycle 100% agree with you. We need proper dedicated cycle lanes (especially around public transport hubs) and secure cycle parking. I’d love to cycle in Sheffield but I don’t feel safe amongst traffic. I’d advise getting a bus 1/1

I could take my Hybrid and Bob’s trailerbike, but I’ve only left Sheffield station once by bike in that direction and it was scary as hell. And then I’d have no guarantee of anywhere safe to lock it up, on arrival.

A lot of car drivers don’t want to pay and would rather park illegally or inconsiderately. A lot of them don’t want to walk a mile. Nothing to do with being football fans.
