I’ve been married for 3 years.
My home was peaceful until 2 weeks ago.
I returned from the market and found a young girl in my living room, eating my food and watching my TV like she owned the place.
Before I could process it, her mother walked out of my guest room with luggage and said, “My daughter is pregnant for your husband. She will stay here till she gives birth.”
I froze. My husband couldn’t even look at me. He said it was a “mistake” and he couldn’t send a pregnant woman away.
Since then, my life has changed. The girl doesn’t greet me. If I greet her, she hisses. She wears my clothes, uses my towel, and sits comfortably like I’m the visitor. When I complained, she said, “Everything here belongs to your husband, so it belongs to me too.”
Two days ago, I found her relaxing and laughing on my marital bed. My husband’s solution was to give me money to buy new bedsheets.
At that point, I asked myself: Do I want money or respect?
What’s breaking me is that I’m also pregnant—2 months gone. I haven’t told my husband. I’m hurt, angry, and feel invisible.
Next week, I’m supposed to travel for university. If I go, I leave her here with my husband. If I stay, I lose my chance to build my future.
I’m stuck. Do I tell him I’m pregnant too? Do I go to school and risk everything? Or do I walk away from this marriage completely?
I’m tired and confused. What would you do if you were me? 😭💔

@Onsogbu @OfficialBenKalu The man who said that Tinubu did Igbos a favour by giving them the 6th of the 6 succession hierarchy? 6 geo zones and he did you a favour by giving you the 6th position. What a fool.

The call grows louder…
Isiala Ngwa North and South have jointly urged the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, Ph.D, CFR @OfficialBenKalu, to contest the 2027 Abia State governorship election, as he continues to receive a wave of defectors from other political parties into the All Progressives Congress (APC) @OfficialAPCNg

@ummuh_Zahra A faithful wife is a blessing. Pls run, this is not love. It’s infatuation.

So I got married last year to the man who sponsored my education. Have no kids yet though. Thanks to him, today I work as a government teacher in a secondary & high school. I actually just got recruited to this school where I teach Geography.
But please, I'm confused. There's this particular guy, actually a male colleague of mine. He has been working here as a Biology teacher for 6 years. Since I arrived & started work, he has been so nice to me, guiding & showing me around, buying me gifts too, and keeping me company so I don't feel alone since I'm new. We got so close after a month. I don't know, but I just really feel so comfortable & safe with him, even more than my husband. I love his company. If I'm to be honest, I feel like I can share & tell him everything.
Even my husband doesn't get me gifts like this guy does. He is such a kind & gentle man, i must comment, he truly knows how to treat a lady but something about his behavior, actually changed recently. Which leaves me confused. He switched from food gifts & started getting me underwear, bras, and perfumes. Even on 'Teachers Day' he bought me same gifts. This has actually been going on for about 2 weeks now. Please people, this keeps me wondering if it's okay that i keep collecting these gifts. Considering the fact that, I'm a married woman.
Truth is, we've been so close, and I don't know how to go about rejecting these gifts since he is actually doing it with pure intentions, with no strings attached, and he's been so nice to me ever since I got here. I plead for your advice & guidance 🙏

Irresponsible post! The handiwork of a political hack. You are just revealing your political bias and partisanship by posting this nonsense. If you work in my organisation, this post will result in your instant dismissal. I hope the Great Duke will call you to order, as you are doing more harm than good to his Arise TV.

@funshographix The man is not even concerned . You people are the ones keeping sleepless nights over him and his state

@afrisagacity I am loving this. May God give him the strength and courage to face the tyrant.

@ummuh_Zahra Why is your mum not the one there? That’s is the tradition. Not your mother in-law.

I'm currently 7 weeks postpartum and, following our tradition, my mother-in-law moved in to help with the new baby.
However, since the day she arrived, the atmosphere has been incredibly tense. It feels like she has a deep-seated dislike for me. Whenever my husband helps with housework, she gets upset. She constantly remarks, “A man shouldn't be doing this,” and expects me to handle all the cooking and cleaning for her, even though I’m still recovering from childbirth.
The breaking point happened last week. I had just finished nursing the baby and handed her over to my mother-in-law so I could spend some time with my husband in our room. Because the weather was chilly, we were trying to keep warm and get intimate. Without warning or knocking, my mother-in-law burst into the bedroom and caught us.
She immediately exploded, hurling terrible insults at me. She called me all sorts of names and questioned my character as a mother. My husband tried to de-escalate the situation, but she wouldn't listen. It got so heated that she physically attacked and slapped me. That was when my husband finally lost his temper and told her to pack her bags and leave immediately.
In response, she called her daughters and claimed that I’ve used "charms" on her son to turn him against her. They have all promised to deal with me. My husband is her last child and only son out of five girls.
To avoid the "bad wife" label, I begged my husband to let her stay, as people might judge me wrongly if she leaves.
Now, it has been a week, and the silence is deafening. She won't speak to me, won't go near the baby anymore, and doesn't eat my food—she prefers to make her own meals. I’m stuck. I know I haven't done anything wrong, but her silent treatment and the tension disturb me.
My husband has left the final decision to me: whether she should go or stay. He says anytime I want her to leave, she will take the next bus. I want peace, but I don't know how much more I can endure. I'm seeking advice on this family situation.

@renoomokri Since this man likes to compare trump dragged power with someone 18yrs younger. Other good examples abound.

@CrownprinceCom2 @comedy38819 Not at all. He will be worse than the last one.

@CrownprinceCom2 @CubanaObi66102 Is Tinubu not also giving to other states? This guy is really a pig.

Yesterday defenders of democracy, today's destroyers, What a shame.
What an irony of history, that the acclaimed defenders of democracy and human rights who claimed to have fought for democracy during the era of General Sani Abacha now find themselves worse than the man they opposed.
Today, General Sani Abacha, once presumed face of oppression, will be remembered as seemingly more democratic and more respectful of human rights than the so-called champions of activism from the NADECO days. Power indeed reveals character.
