I never had a father but I never reply to anyone like this. It really has nothing to do with having a father or not, it stems from well upbringing by a family which was seen as "incomplete" because dad is not around. We have no control over the presence of our fathers in our lives, but we definitely made it our priority to be great dads. Even if it means not using "fokof" as a response.
