There’s a pattern that’s getting harder to ignore: homeless advocates talk endlessly about compassion, housing, and funding, but go quiet when it comes to the damage happening in plain sight—the trash, the open-air drug use, the parks families can’t use, the crime. It’s not because these problems don’t exist; it’s because acknowledging them would force a harder conversation about accountability. Somewhere along the way, expecting basic standards of behavior became “cruel,” and looking the other way became compassion—but it’s not, it’s neglect. When you normalize this level of disorder, you’re not protecting people, you’re trapping them in it, lowering the bar so far there’s no expectation to rise above it. And the cost isn’t just paid by the community, it’s paid by the people living in these conditions every day. This video was filmed in a public park—not hidden, not isolated, but a shared space allowed to deteriorate while those responsible debate semantics and funding cycles. If your version of compassion can’t acknowledge what’s right in front of you, it’s not compassion—it’s willful blindness, and it’s making this crisis worse.

My licensed and insured contractor had to get a permit to unhook and rehook my sink Then we had to have a city inspector verify the work The Government literally does more auditing on a citizen installing a sink than they do to verify that learing centers getting Millions actually have kids there
