Team Uganda Departs for Glasgow 2026 with @tookeonline Nutrition Support The first batch of Team Uganda athletes and officials has today, Tuesday, 21st July 2026, departed for Glasgow, Scotland, ahead of the 2026 Commonwealth Games. Before departure, the team received more assorted @tookeonline nutrition products from PIBID/ @birdcuganda , reaffirming @tookeonline's role as the Official Nutrition Partner for Team Uganda throughout their Glasgow 2026 campaign. The symbolic handover took place at the @Official_UOC headquarters and was attended by @iocmedia Member @iocmedia William Frederick Blick, @Official_UOC Vice President Moses Mwase, Nutrition Ambassador Rev. Prof. @floriemura, and Olympic champion @Stephen42k, among other officials. In her message to the athletes, Rev. Prof. @floriemura , Director General of PIBID/@birdcuganda and @Official_UOC / Commonwealth Games Nutrition Ambassador, congratulated Team Uganda for earning the honour of representing the nation on the Commonwealth stage. She encouraged the athletes to compete with courage, discipline, integrity, and excellence while carrying the pride and aspirations of all Ugandans. She also highlighted the importance of proper nutrition in elite sport, noting that the Sports Nutrition Manual developed for the team provides science backed guidance to support preparation, enhance performance, speed recovery, and help athletes perform at their highest potential throughout the Games.
