Here's a short video made by @Spinwatch, a little while ago, on Islamophobia and the media. It was deleted from Youtube some time ago when Youtube deleted the whole Spinwatch channel, for crimes unstated. The video showcases the Spinwatch report on media coverage in a variety of European countries (including the UK) which showed that a key element of the anti-Muslim nature of media coverage across all mainstream media (including TV news which is legally bound in the UK to maintain "due impartiality"), is the dependence on official sources and in particular the prominence of sources from the counter-terror apparatus, particularly the intelligence services.
