Texas Players, we are going through some interesting decisions on unifying the membership and procedures of Lodge and Rounders (what will become Lodge San Antonio) I've always preferred postpay (you pay AFTER your session playing) because no one has to tap you on the shoulder to tell you your time is going to run out. On the other hand, if you do postpay, people will sometimes leave without paying and then come back to find a "surprise" bill they forgot to pay. The advantage of prepay is people pay BEFORE their session, so the club doesn't carry the debt. If casual players don't have tabs, they are more likely to come back. I don't love asking people for time during a session, and I also don't like the surprise bill in the future. What do you prefer and why? What do you think is better for casual players?
