Messi was to blame; the guy just attacked, he didn't do anything else. Obviously, that didn't benefit Hakimi. I say Messi, but also Neymar and Mbappé. What I think he means is that since Messi played as a winger on his side, he couldn't play the way he used to play for his national team and now with PSG.

Their current attackers actually aren’t better than Messi, Neymar, Mbappe. MNM just lacked the coach factor to make it work.

It's normal, but especially because of the tactical approach. If we look at how everyone at PSG attacks and everyone defends, having Messi (plus Neymar and Mbappé) means the team has three players who don't defend, don't help the full-backs, don't press, and just wait for the ball to be won back before they attack. That affects the other seven players, which is why that team failed, and why Hakimi, Vitinha, and the others won't shine.
