Newcastle United official has communicated to media tonight that there is no gentleman’s agreement Sandro Tonali can leave this summer if club do not qualify for Europe. That does not mean he won’t leave but he hasn’t said he wants to go and neither has there been any contact with #nufc from interested clubs at this stage. It’s only March but yet another week of stories linking Newcastle players with a move. Going to be a long summer 😬

Personally couldn’t care less if Tonali goes. He was immense for a season and that’s it. He’s been painfully average this season and apart from covering a lot of ground has contributed very little. Would embarrassing letting him go to Man U though, but nothing would surprise me

I feel like I must watch a different Tonali to everyone else, he's got a great engine but is poor on the ball, misplaces pass constantly, can't cross or take a set piece, for what he gives us he's very replaceable and it would be unbelievable if we got anywhere close to £100m

@WadeSAFC On one hand it’s sickening, a reminder that agents run this game will do whatever they want for their next 10%. On the other hand - lol

I'm gonna speak without Sunderland bias here, how the fuck can 2-1 you have the audacity to Brobbey ask to leave 2-1 after the club stuck by you Talbi for a year when you got 2-1 banned for betting. Shows what Brobbey type of 2-1 person he is.

No idea why people are surprised it’s been common knowledge he’s leaving in the summer, not an irreplaceable player. Miley can step up or whoever we buy needs to be of the level.

@RossBarkan I think it all started when the started adding public votes to reality TV. Voting became a form of entertainment, and politics became a game of attention. MAGA is a TV show for his base - deeply unserious people with the minds of children.

Something the Gen Alpha generation will never understand is how absolutely insane it was for Donald Trump to end up president at all. He'll be viewed retroactively now - *of course* he loomed over the 2010s and 2020s - but that original perspective, one day, will be lost to time

@Alwaleed_Debasi @PIFSaudi @NUFC_SA_ As the chief spokesman for Newcastle United Supporters, I hearby demand the Mohammed Bin Salman issues a full apology on the pitch ahead of wuh next home game. He must also apologise to Craig Hope, who is very upset.

The constant effort to deflect blame onto the @PIFSaudi while shielding the manager is transparent we all know where your info comes from but loyalty shouldn't override the truth journalist's job is to report the facts not to act as a PR agent for the coach #NUFC #نيوكاسل

@st3vat @wuds100 I’d love a spending cap, but clubs wouldn’t vote for it as it’d be an end to European competition. PSR isn’t perfect, but it’s certainly better than no PSR.

@TopTopPundit @wuds100 Did I say that? I think an absolute spending cap is the way forward, is the fairest way, they don't want fair tho. Are you from Sunderland? Why do you support Sunderland?

Four and a half years into the takeover we’ve got a keeper starting who’s on loan from a 2nd division club a 35 year old right back and are still trotting out Burn at left back, PSR has done wonders for the Cartel.

@CDriscoll99 Britpop was entirely built on the idea that the 60s and 70s looked cool and fun. Nostalgia defined the late 90s. You just got old, Carol.

It’s definitely not this. It WAS better. When I was younger, I never looked back at older generations the 60s/70s etc and thought ‘man that looks so cool and fun.’ I thought it was cringe. But kids today also yearn for the 90s/00’s even though they weren’t even born.
1 minute too many@PrimalMvmntPT

@CDriscoll99 I think we confuse better with (in this case) being 30 years younger. There was no doubt as much shit going on then as there is now. It’s always the same with these clips. Nostalgia rears its head & we just conveniently push it aside.

@NUFCDeenJam He spent €180m at Newcastle. During this time the team finished 18th, 21st, 10th and 14th. He then binned you off for the football hotbed of China.

@TopTopPundit @wuds100 It's perhaps the most right wing establishment rule in all of sports. Know your place and stay down. It's a wolf in sheep's clothing, protecting the elite whilst disguised as altruism. That you can't see through it is interesting. There are better, fairer ways

@st3vat @wuds100 No. It prevents clubs like Sunderland from spending beyond their means, and patronages from buying European leagues. It’s good thing.

@TopTopPundit @wuds100 If you're a Sunderland fan you'll want PSR changed I assume? It exists only to protect the clubs at the top. Fact is, you make one or two mistakes in the market and it will set you back a decade. Chelsea can make 4 or 5 a season

@jim_keoghan @chrisw333 It prevents a rigged system. What should dictate success more - having a global fan base or suddenly being bought by a petrostate?

Given what current-gen LLMs (say, in math, but whatever) can do, I think their apparent limitations are kind of mysterious. What is the blocker preventing, at present, high quality fully autonomous work?
