YOU MIGHT NOT BE ABLE TO KEEP SNAKES AWAY FROM YOUR COOP IF YOU DON’T KNOW THESE 5 THINGS 🐍🚫 Snakes don’t just show up by accident—they come because something is attracting them. If you keep losing chicks or eggs, chances are you’re unknowingly inviting them in. Here’s what you must understand: 1. FOOD IS THE MAIN ATTRACTION Snakes follow food. Eggs, chicks, rats, and even leftover feed attract rodents—and rodents attract snakes. 👉 Control rats, store feed properly, and remove broken eggs immediately. 2. SMALL OPENINGS ARE BIG DOORS Snakes can squeeze through tiny holes you wouldn’t imagine. 👉 Seal cracks, fix broken wire mesh, and cover every gap in your coop. 3. BUSHY AREAS ARE PERFECT HIDING SPOTS Tall grass, wood piles, and debris around your coop give snakes a place to hide and strike from. 👉 Keep your surroundings clean and clear at all times. 4. DARKNESS GIVES THEM CONFIDENCE Snakes love quiet, dark places where they won’t be disturbed. 👉 Ensure your coop has proper lighting at night and avoid leaving it too quiet and isolated. 5. POOR COOP DESIGN MAKES IT EASY If your coop is built directly on the ground without protection, you’re making it easy for predators. 👉 Raise your coop, use strong wire mesh, and consider adding a solid floor. FINAL WORD: You don’t fight snakes with luck—you fight them with awareness and proper management. Fix these 5 things, and you’ll drastically reduce snake visits to your poultry.

@Tope_Orus Let me add this here. At one school, we tried to show parents how to support their children with homework. However, we soon noticed that the parents were simply doing the work themselves, believing it ‘saved time’.

Some parents are the real reason children are not doing well in school… and we need to talk about it. Before anyone misunderstands me, let’s be honest for a moment. A teacher can teach. A school can guide. But a child’s foundation is still built at home. Some children come to school already struggling, not because they are weak, but because: ❌Homework is not checked at home ❌Revision is not encouraged ❌Reading is not valued ❌And in some homes, education is not even a priority until exam time We expect miracles from teachers, but forget that learning does not end in the classroom. A child who hears: 👉“Don’t disturb me” instead of “Let’s read together” 👉“Just pass your exams” instead of “Understand what you are learning” will eventually reflect that mindset in school performance. And then we blame teachers. The truth is simple: Teachers plant seeds, but parents water them. A child cannot thrive on classroom effort alone. So before we conclude that a child is “lazy” or “not serious,” maybe we should ask: What is happening at home? Because in many cases, the missing link is not the school… It is the support system behind the child. Let’s do better. Together.
