This was me in cucumber farming years ago. I started my first production in sac and with African Giant variety (99) My Agric Knowledge didn’t come overnight. I learned from my father, school, mentors & YouTube. But the real understanding came from failing, adjusting, & refusing

What you are seeing here is not luck It's risk and investment. Do you see how dry the soil is ? If this drip irrigation fail, this my friend will loose millions of naira, but if he succeed, he payed his due. There’s money in dry season farming, but you have to be willing.

Leaves to deworm chickens Neem (Dogonyaro) very effective Pawpaw leaves/seeds – strong against worms Bitter leaf – helps flush worms Garlic – mild but helpful Use: Chop and mix with feed or soak in water, give 2–3 times weekly. #Note: Use drugs too if infestation is serious.

@HerbalistChief I can confirm the Guava leaves for ulcer is the best treatment to ever exist for ulcers. Took the boiled Guava leaves drink and haven't felt a tinge of ulcer pain ever since. It's been four months and counting. Now I can stay hours without eating and won't feel pains unlike b4.

I just saw this VIDEO of a white lady filming the reactions from African kids when they saw her for the first time. I am particularly worried about this. Why did she keep chasing the kids even when they're visibly terrified?✍️

Stop Drinking Water Like This — Doctors Are Warning Now — 1. Too little water → Kidneys work harder, blood gets thicker 2. Too much water fast → Washes minerals, strains your heart 3. Drinking more water before bed → Wakes you up, tires your kidneys 4. Soda instead of water → Sugar hurts liver and pancreas 5. Only coffee or tea → Dries your body, weakens kidneys 6. Ice-cold water after meals → Slows digestion, upsets stomach 7. Low-mineral water → Less magnesium and calcium, weaker muscles 8. No water after sweating → Dehydration and thicker blood flow 9. Warm plastic bottles → Chemicals mix into water, stress the liver These habits can damage your kidneys, heart, liver, and muscles over time.

The Hidden Mistakes Killing Your Chickens (Daily Habits Farmers Overlook) 1. Dirty Drinking Water * Chickens drink more water than they eat. * Dirty water spreads bacteria → diarrhea, weakness, and slow growth. ✅ Fix: Change water 2–3 times daily, wash drinkers. 2. Overcrowding * Too many chickens in small space → stress + disease spread. ✅ Fix: Give enough space as they grow. 3. Poor Ventilation * Ammonia from droppings damages lungs. ✅ Fix: Allow fresh airflow without cold drafts. 4. Wet Litter * Wet floors attract bacteria & parasites. ✅ Fix: Keep litter dry, remove wet spots immediately. 5. Irregular Feeding * Skipping feed weakens chickens and slows growth. ✅ Fix: Feed consistently at the same time daily. 6. Heat or Cold Stress * Too hot or cold kills chickens, especially chicks. ✅ Fix: Maintain proper temperature for age.

Chicken Droppings Color Guide 1️⃣ Brown: Normal, healthy droppings, a sign of good digestion and balanced feeding. 2️⃣ Green: Can appear after eating lots of fresh greens or when birds are not eating well due to stress or illness. 3️⃣ Yellow: Often linked to digestive upset and can be an early sign of infection such as coccidiosis or bacterial imbalance. 4️⃣ Black: May indicate internal bleeding, starvation, or severe digestive issues and requires urgent attention. 5️⃣ Foamy: Common in cecal droppings, but persistent foam may point to gut imbalance or infection. 6️⃣ Visible worms: A clear sign of intestinal parasites — immediate deworming and hygiene control are needed. Regular observation of droppings helps detect health problems early and supports proper flock management.

Datura stramonium (locally known as Zakamin in Hausa and Jegemi in Igala) is a plant with a long history of traditional use in poultry farming. Many farmers have relied on it for generations, particularly during outbreaks such as the February “BV disease” that often affects chickens. Growing up, we observed our parents using this plant to support the health of their flocks. Traditional application: When birds show signs of illness or sudden mortality, farmers prepare a solution by crushing the leaves, adding a small amount of water, and administering it to the birds twice daily for two days. This practice is believed to help revive poultry, including chickens, turkeys, ducks, and other livestock. Important note: - While Datura stramonium is considered powerful in traditional settings, it is extremely toxic to humans and must never be consumed. - Its use should be approached with caution, and farmers are advised to handle it responsibly.

Don't even know what to do these seedlings! The weather is too harsh to transplant them outside and i won't be available to irrigate consecutively. Even in the nursery and under shade and water, the sun still shocks them. Imagine how it will be for them outside.

FIVE LAWS OF SUCCESSFUL CHICKEN GROWTH Raising chickens successfully requires farmers to follow important growth principles. Many farmers expect fast growth after buying day-old chicks, but poor management often leads to weak and slow-growing birds. Chickens grow well only when their basic needs are properly managed from the beginning. The first law is giving chicks a strong start during their first two to three weeks. This stage is critical for their future development. Farmers should provide proper brooding temperature, clean water immediately after arrival, and high-quality starter feed so chicks can develop strong bodies. The second law focuses on quality feed. Chickens need balanced nutrients such as protein for muscle growth, energy for activity, and vitamins and minerals for proper body development. Poor quality feed often results in slow growth and weak birds. The third law highlights the importance of clean water, space, and fresh air. Chickens require constant access to fresh water to help digestion and regulate body temperature. Adequate space, good ventilation, and dry litter also allow birds to eat comfortably and grow faster. The final law is disease prevention. Farmers should follow vaccination schedules, maintain farm hygiene, and control parasites and rodents. Healthy chickens use their energy for growth instead of fighting disease, which leads to better productivity and successful poultry farming.
