Portfolio Goal
The purpose of this trading portfolio is to hold core position ETFs that yield close to or above 10%. These core holdings serve as the stable foundation of the strategy, producing consistent income while generating excess margin within the brokerage account.
That excess margin is then deployed—without adding any new capital—into put credit spreads/short puts on high-quality companies that I would be happy to add to the portfolio if assigned.
By systematically collecting premium from these defined-risk spreads, the portfolio augments its total return, materially increasing the overall APY while keeping risk parameters tightly controlled and capital requirements unchanged.
This dual-engine approach delivers compounded income from both the ETF distributions and the options overlay, creating an efficient, capital-light income machine designed for long-term wealth acceleration.
Importantly, the portfolio’s goal is not to YOLO into one stock and pray it moons while riding out brutal drawdowns (and potential round-trips of gains). It is engineered for consistent cash flow. That’s why I focus on vertical spreads, puts, and calls over single-name buy-and-hope speculation. Cash is the objective, not hope.
