When you enter a position using OCO Brackets, the Stop Loss is a Market Order and the Take Profit is a Limit Order. Learning the difference will answer a lot of questions before they need to be asked.

One Trump Truth Social Post can wipe out weeks of work. Market doesn't care about your stops in a velocity logic event. Need to think about ways to work in this environment outside of NQ. I don't have the answers yet. It isn't as simple as just switching to ES either. Thinking its going to be more and more important to have some sort of inter-market spread on at all times, to help mitigate some of the systematic risk.

@Emmonspired I completely understand. However, those instruments are not designed for watching. Those are the ones that you use for (potential) protection against events like today.

@Emmonspired I'll add that most traders who are trading NQ, should not be. There are PLENTY of other instruments to choose from.

NQ variance can make you think you're trading well even when you're trading like shit... Thats why people come and go in this business.. They'll post massive PNL numbers but then not repeat them or even last a year let alone 10+ years.
