Game 99
England 2: this team has that fight you need to go far, got down, got dirty in the heat, capitalized on a mistake and won the game, this is two straight matches now where they haven’t dominated the play but they’ve won the moments, it’s served up a 4th-ever semifinal appearance, Jude Bellingham is making a case for best player in the tournament, but Kane will need to wear the super hero cape again too if they’re going to go all the way
Norway 1: can feel unlucky with the whole ‘camera cable’ fiasco and the disallowed goal that was a mad scramble, but this is still a huge success for them, Haaland solidified himself as the best striker in the world, the offensive is terrifyingly explosive, just needed to avoid the mistake from Nyland to maybe take this to penalties, fine margins but wouldn’t be surprised if they make it back here
FIFA saying the ball sensor didn't detect hitting the camera wire really just causes problems for them
Because you can see it hit something and move, so how can we trust the sensor
And where's Croatia in all of this
Don’t care what you think, Spence improves attacking dynamics of the squad so, so much.
I don’t think Nico O’Reilly has been that good this tournament. Would seriously consider starting him next game (if we even get through).
I don’t think it’s a penalty but this World Cup it really feels like ‘clear and obvious error’ has gone out of the window. Lots of tight subjective calls being put under the microscope, would rather the on field referee has more agency.

Game 18
Norway: Haaland is a runaway train and this team definitely can beat anyone if their opponent misses a few chances, because they can score on anyone
Iraq: 4-1 is definitely harsh, they created a lot, but slipped in the second half and got outplayed by Haaland big time, this result makes this group ridiculously difficult, will likely be searching for a magic moment as qualification requires a win over France or Senegal
