Announcing this year's 'En Plein Air Art Fest' at Torfaen Museum, in partnership with artREGEN and Head4Arts. Book your place to join us in celebrating Pontypool Park through art before exhibiting our gallery. Call Torfaen Museum for more information or to register.

Starting next week we have our new 'Tapestries of Torfaen' exhibition. Including the Broad Street, Blaenavon tapestry from Head4Arts and our own millennium tapestries, come along and explore the rich history of our county through textile !!

Don't forget to head to Pontypool Party in the Park on Saturday July 9th. And while you're there, why not pop into the Museum to pick up a take-away cream scone and a cuppa - the perfect accompaniment for a day in the park.

Please be aware that Torfaen Museum will be closed for the week of June 13th as the Glantorfaen display is returning to @AmgueddfaCymru. While we will miss the beautiful furniture, we are working on a new story-telling area in its place. Apologies for the inconvenience.

PLHS are hosting Gwent Local History Association annual lecture on Saturday 21 May 2022, 2.30 pm, at Torfaen Museum. Monty Dart will present 'WHO KILLED DRIPPING LEWIS' the fascinating circumstances of an unsolved murder in in Pontypool, just before the outbreak of WWII

Pontypool Local History Society will be hosting the Gwent Local History Association (GLHA) on Saturday, 21 May 2022, 2.30 pm, at Torfaen Museum. Monty Dart presents: ‘Who Killed Dripping Lewis’. All are welcome, non-members £3 at the door, includes tea and biscuits aftarwards

Calling all teachers !! We are holding an education engagement afternoon to help advise us as we develop new education and story-telling areas in the Museum exhibits. Come along for a cuppa and a chat on May 31st or June 7th between 3pm and 5pm. We look forward to meeting you !!

Egg-citing activities at Amgueddfa Torfaen Museum this Easter with chick hunt through the Museum galleries every day. Or, come along on Wednesday mornings for FREE entry and children's crafts. Museum open 10am to 4pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and 1pm to 4pm on weekends.

Don't forget the Spring Fayre this Wednesday 6th April at Amgueddfa Torfaen Museum, organised by the wonderful charity @SightCymru !! Come along and shop local crafts and produce.
