Please allow me to publicly convey Mazwi’s family gratitude to @pule_jones for connecting me with them, an intervention that eventually got majority of South Africans behind the release of Mazwi. The family also extends their deepest appreciation to all South Africans who treated Mazwi’s case as theirs.
Mazwi was discharged from hospital early this morning, but still needs to recover from a month long trauma, and still needs space to be with his family and those close to him and trust.
The family have put him in a place of safety and they will be advised by professional medical teams when ready to face the world again.
