A 2.5 minute clip by @TheBreachMedia of WBW Canada organizer @rach_small's breakdown of Carney's agenda of militarism, arms dealing, and banking on an economy based on war in lockstep with the US — and what it means for all of us and for Canada's role in the world.

Canada signed $2.1 billion of contracts with the American war department last year, almost double the value of all contracts signed in 2023/24. These exports are almost entirely unregulated, and do not require permits from the federal government.

$11.3B in the first week of the U.S. war on Iran. $1–2B every day. $5.6B in just 48 hours. Projections: up to $250B in months and trillions over time through debt and veterans’ care. Generations will be paying for this war. theintercept.com/2026/03/17/tru…

Doctors in Havana say at least 3,000 people are relying on dialysis machines to stay alive, and may die if these blackouts continue. This is murder. en.granma.cu/cuba/2026-03-1…

CNN: Breaking news. Cuba's electrical grid has suffered a complete and total collapse. This is according to the country's power operator. It's the first nationwide blackout since the US effectively shut off the flow of oil to Cuba

‘Helping’ countries that host American military bases is assisting offensive action. These are language games designed to spin potential participation in a war that a majority of Canadians oppose.
Ashley Burke@AshleyBurkeCBC

Defence minister David McGuinty says Canada will not engage offensively in the U.S.-Israeli war against Iran, but is considering helping Gulf countries depending on what they ask for. He added the U.S has not made a formal request to Canada.

On Thursday La Presse reported that Canada’s base in Kuwait was hit during a strike on a US compound. This is key to make sure Canada does not support the US-Israel aggression. Please email the Minister of Defence now: tr.ee/troops

On the International Day to Combat Islamophobia, Canada stands with Muslim communities here and around the world. Islamophobia and all forms of hate have no place in our communities.

Brief reflections on Premier Ford's attempt to stop Al-Quds Day in Toronto 🇵🇸 At 2:30pm yesterday, Premier Ford announced "I've instructed my Attorney General to pursue an injunction against the Al-Quds Day demonstration planned for Toronto." Our volunteer legal team had less than a day to prepare our position on behalf of the Al-Quds Day Committee, but we set to work. Challenging the injunction application would not have been possible without the dedicated work of lawyers, law students, and activists who joined together to strategize, draft submissions, and assemble the necessary documents. This all had to be done without having Ontario's materials, which we received approximately one hour before the injunction application was set to be heard today. There did not appear to be any legitimate reason for the province's 11th hour strategy. It simply made the entire process unnecessarily complex for everyone involved. In our submissions, we argued that Ontario's application was politically motivated, and that it relied on baseless fearmongering and anti-Palestinian rhetoric in lieu of a meaningful evidentiary record. At para. 16 of its decision, the Court found that: "...there is no evidence in the record that there were criminal charges arising out of last year’s Al Quds rally in Toronto, or at the rallies in any of the prior 30 years. There is no evidence that participants at last year's rally incited hatred or engaged in hate speech. There is no evidence before me of any criminality arising out of this rally in the past, much less evidence that could satisfy me that there is a "strong case" that there will be criminal activity this year." Although it was defeated this time, the Ford government has repeatedly shown that it is prepared to disregard the spirit of the Charter and silence voices it disagrees with - especially where Palestine is concerned. Freedom of expression and assembly prevailed today. Vigilance and community solidarity are required to ensure that it prevails tomorrow.

We're quoted in this strong local coverage of an action at Roshel's headquarters in Brampton this week. We converged on the factory at shift change the day after Brampton passed an arms embargo resolution and Carney shut down the No More Loopholes bill. insauga.com/video-activist…
