Podczas Paris Major pojawił się teaser Rocket League sugerujący przejście gry na Unreal Engine 6. To o tyle ciekawe, że Rocket League od premiery w 2015 roku nadal działa na Unreal Engine 3, czyli technologii mającej już swoje lata.
Psyonix od dawna mówiło o migracji na nowszy silnik, wcześniej głównie w kontekście Unreal Engine 5, ale wygląda na to, że projekt może przeskoczyć od razu na UE6.
Na razie konkretów brak. Nie wiadomo, kiedy pojawi się nowa wersja gry, co dokładnie się zmieni i czy będzie to pełna przebudowa, czy raczej większa aktualizacja technologiczna. Ale jedno jest pewne: dla Rocket League może to być największa techniczna zmiana od lat.
PS. Ciekawe jakie wymagania będzie miec nowy silnik?😅

Riot Games explained that the new Vanguard update is designed only to stop advanced cheating devices, not to harm normal computers. Some cheaters use special external hardware called DMA devices to secretly access game data and avoid detection. Vanguard now blocks those devices by using a standard Windows security feature called IOMMU protection. For regular players, nothing changes: >Your PC will not be damaged. >Normal hardware and software are unaffected. >Games and programs will work normally if you are not using cheating hardware. The DMA devices themselves are not destroyed or damaged. They just can’t be used to cheat in games like Valorant and League of Legends anymore. W Polsce są absurdalne przepisy, które sprawiają, że właściciel studni może zostać potraktowany jak przestępca za korzystanie z własnej wody.
Najgłośniejszy przykład to rolnik z Choszczewa, Zdzisław Zarzecki, który poił świnie wodą ze swojej studni i dostał ponad 100 tys. zł kary. Inspektorzy uznali, że pobierał 45 m³ dziennie, choć on twierdzi, że maksymalnie 18. Problem?
Limit bez pozwolenia to 5 m³, o czym nikt go nigdy nie poinformował. Wniosek o pozwolenie złożył od razu, ale procedura trwa już ponad dwa lata, a on wciąż płaci karne stawki.
Podobne historie opisują media: kolejny rolnik z Podlasia również został ukarany za przekroczenie limitu, choć jak twierdził nie miał pojęcia o obowiązku uzyskania pozwolenia.
Artykuły branżowe ostrzegają, że za pobór ponad 5 m³ dziennie grożą nie tylko kary do 100 tys. zł, ale nawet nakaz zasypania studni.
Wszystkie te przypadki wynikają z Prawa wodnego z 2017 r., które pozwala pobierać z własnej studni tylko 5 m³ na dobę bez pozwolenia wodnoprawnego. Limit jest sensowny dla domu jednorodzinnego, ale kompletnie nie przystaje do realiów gospodarstw, które potrzebują wielokrotnie więcej wody.
Rolnicy dowiadują się o przepisach dopiero wtedy, gdy dostają decyzję z gigantyczną karą naliczoną za lata wstecz.

Let me explain IOMMU simply.
the library is hardware.
your journal is the game memory.
IOMMU is a lock on the journal.
Some other person is the hardware cheat.
This does not lock other books.
This does not break the shelves.
This doesn’t destroy the building.
This does stop the other person (cheat hardware) from reading *your journal*
That’s it. That’s what IOMMU does. Riot stopped cheaters from reading the game memory. No it doesn’t harm your RAM, PC, or even the cheat Hardware. It just blocks it.

(At least in the case of warzone, if you play too well, you get shadow banned for a week, quit playing it just for this reason)

@GVMERGG @ReWhoniverSe vanguard sets flags in the registry so the card is not usable even after uninstalling. Also DMA cards are mostly used in embedded development. DMA cheats are maybe 1-2% of DMA hardware in use.

Someone who cheats and ruins other people’s experience in a video game, often wasting the few hours of time they have to play, is a genuine piece of garbage. It should carry the same punishment as manipulating any other network/system. We all paid money and agreed to the terms to play on the servers.
Are you asking if it’s right for people who bought a 6k card with the express intention to cheat to be banned and have the card unusable for valorant? That seems extreme to you?
The computer still works, the card still works. What is extreme?
