@Wollerto @Trrymc_ Easy enough to get up and skip record tracks. I've got a boss set up with a WiiM streamer and a DAC nowadays to stream lossless stuff though Amazon (through a vintage technics amp and speakers) and it's on a par with anything I've used. Records are great but I have no space now

@TotalLongo @Trrymc_ Im back on the Vinyl train. Been for a few years. It's a very expensive train. For me it's not about sound. It's just the experience of listening to whole albums. Sometimes the easy skips on cd/streaming eventually grow on you. And in an album format some less good has a place.

@Trrymc_ I have loads of records but I honestly think unless you have an absolutely top end system, CD's are fine. Records definitely look and feel a lot better though.

@TotalLongo I'd seen a little teaser for it yesterday, mate. Looking forward to it. Fully tempted to get a record player and get them all on vinyl

As a Greek, I was introduced to Homer almost as soon as I learned to read. His epics are among the first great works we encounter at school, and they remain a living part of our cultural consciousness. Given that, I really don't care whether Christopher Nolan has remained completely faithful to Homer or has taken creative liberties. What truly matters is that he has brought Homer back into the world's imagination. If his film encourages people to return to the Odyssey, discover the Iliad, or venture further into the treasures of classical literature, then it has already accomplished something extraordinary. Any work of art that sends people back to the source has, in my view, made a genuine contribution to culture.
