Safari has quite a few anti-fingerprinting tactics. One of my favorites is the advanced audio anti-fingerprinting mechanism. One way websites track you is by using information about your system (like battery life) to process an inaudible audio file. The subtle differences in how each device process the audio is used to build a profile about you. This persists across sessions and even cookie clearing because everyone gets the same input audio -- it's the output that matters. To mitigate this, Apple presents a super stripped down representation of your device so that it's harder detect differences. The larger the sea of people with the same data, the harder it is to identify you in that sea of people.

@appltrack @9to5mac I wonder what will happen to the apple pencil, since the magnets and charging/data coils would interfere with the camera in the current position. That ultimately seems to be why the iPad 10 doesn't support apple pencil gen2

The 2024 iPad Pro will get a landscape camera, according to code in iOS 17.4 via @9to5mac 📸 It will now match the much better camera position of the iPad 10.

I have been wrongfully accused of using ads to push my Tesla referral link, and I may be banned from the referral program. Please help. First some bullet points -It is not related to my link being on my YouTube channel (I asked several channels with many more referrals than myself, they are not having an issue) -I have never paid for ads to push my referral link -I maxed out my referrals months before I received these emails (I have no incentive to buy ads) -Anyone could take out an ad with my referral link and I couldn’t stop them Last week, Tesla sent me an email telling me my referral link has been associated with paid advertisements, and that I had 5 business days to remove these ads or I would be banned from the program. I immediately responded (and additionally, used the support link in the email, with no response), asking exactly what the problem was and that I would do anything to fix this. I received a single response 24 hours later (November 7), saying that my link was associated with Google Adwords traffic. I have since sent 4 more emails with no response from Tesla. I have had my link on my YouTube channel for 5 years. I have never paid for advertising for my link. The biggest problem is anyone could pay for ads for my link to get me banned. I offered 3 solutions 1. Remove all links from my youtube (I did this already). 2. Get a NEW referral code to make the current ads useless (since I’m not paying for the ads, I can’t cancel them). 3. Send my credit card statements to show I do not buy ads of any type. Due to this, I have lost all referral credits and I did not receive my Cybertruck Delivery Event invite, although I already paid for plane tickets and lodging. I have been covering Tesla on social media for almost 5 years, I founded the Tesla Owners Club of Michigan (now over 500 members), help hold events at local delivery centers, help new owners with their cars in person, give test drives in my personal car, and just genuinely believe Tesla makes some of the best products on earth. I have been devastated and stressed out by this the past week, and I just want it fixed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. @Tesla @elonmusk @MartinViecha
