@im_vensor Every African country inherited colonial systems. That's a fact, not an insult. The real shame lies with those who couldn't even keep the lights on in the jewels they inherited, while others worked to build upon them.

That country has white people ruling it for years and still have white citizens so I believe that’s why they’re miles ahead of us. Again tribalism, religion, corruption and greed ruined this country right from 1960. The bitter truth is 99.9% of we Nigerians are naturally corrupted.

South Africa will never win the fight against crime when people have more sympathy for criminals than for the victims whose lives they destroy.

Thabo Mbeki betrayed us as South Africans in 2002 and no one noticed Thabo Mbeki’s Immigration Act of 2002 feels like a betrayal of the South African worker. By signing this into law, he prioritized a "Pan-African" fantasy over the safety and sovereignty of his own people. It is an anti-patriotic piece of legislation that effectively gagged us. By making it a crime for a South African to demand status verification, Mbeki essentially handed our neighborhoods over to anyone who could slip across a porous border. He turned the law against the citizen and created a shield for the undocumented. I am tired of being told that protecting my own country is "vigilantism" while the state fails to do its job. This law didn’t bring an "African Renaissance", it brought a vacuum of lawlessness. Mbeki lived in an intellectual bubble while we were left to compete for jobs and resources with people who aren't even supposed to be here. This 2002 Act didn't just regulate immigration; it criminalized my right as a South African to ensure the laws of my land are being followed. It’s a slap in the face to every legal citizen.
