@JoePompliano Not trying to rain on anyone’s parade, but nothing he’s doing in that video is extraordinary for someone with an Achilles surgery. In fact, he could do that without having had the surgery. The question is can he run and jump. That’s the true test of recovery. Godspeed Aaron.

No longer new nor innovative. Speedbridge has been used in Achilles surgery for years… is employed by surgeons (myself) for both athletes and average patients. Newer technologies, ie Artelon Flexband, exist and are more physiologic. No matter, recovery will take nearly a year.

Update: #Jets QB Aaron Rodgers received a new and innovative surgery on his Achilles, one that could potentially have him back and ready to play by mid-January, per @RapSheet "Sources say renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. Neal ElAttrache and his team performed a procedure to place an internal brace -- called an Achilles "speed bridge" -- on Rodgers' fully torn left Achilles." nfl.com/news/jets-qb-a… (h/t @AryePulli)
