People are judging Manu Koné based on hype instead of what they’ve actually watched.
I watched him against Spain after he came on, and he didn’t take control of the midfield or change the game in any meaningful way. That’s exactly what you’d expect from a midfielder people are calling the answer to Manchester United’s problems.
Then there’s the bigger concern: his injury history. Muscle and hamstring issues have followed him for years. We already have enough injury-prone players, so why add another gamble?
£45–50m is serious money. If we’re spending that, I want someone who elevates the team immediately, not another player we have to hope stays fit. Personally, I don’t see Manu Koné as the level Manchester United should be aiming for. #MUFC

My only concern with Manu Koné is his injury record. He’s had recurring muscle and hamstring problems over the last few seasons, so that’s something Manchester United’s medical team would need to assess carefully. That said, he’s exactly the type of midfielder we need. Athletic, aggressive, covers plenty of ground, wins duels, and isn’t afraid to do the dirty work. If the medicals are positive and the fee is around £45–50m, I’d make the deal, he’s better than the Brighton flop.

I just realized from yesterday preseason that there’s nothing like Carrick ball. It’s just Bruno Ball and Bruno dependency.
We played against Wrexham and the team couldn’t create anything cause Carrick doesn’t have a system and this is scary.
Does it mean last season 3rd place finish was all down to Bruno ball and Carrick got no ideas without Bruno.
If that’s the case, this season is going to be long.
