@ACassario Happy to share code I have used for state variables from the R census api if its helpful, dm me.

@ACassario Yes, I think so! If you use the R Census API, it is pretty straightforward and quick, and then you know exactly what's going into your variables and can easily update your data when/if necessary.

@CarlyMillerd I found it helpful to chat with the Iowa IRB office - like schedule a quick Zoom or irl meeting - and discuss what you are trying to do. I got several denials, but after chatting with them to clarify things, I didn't have to change my language much before they approved.

Looking for IRB advice! Has anyone been able to describe snowball sampling (to create and analyze a network of people) and successfully get it through their IRB? What language did you use? Please help.

Most of health policy is actually health politics

What's interesting though is they break out MAGI vs. non-MAGI apps. AR automatically enrolls SSI recipients in Medicaid. But I think the non-MAGI pop is a big concern in states that require separate apps for SSI and Medicaid (like ID, which is posting data, but not by case type)
